We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the location and the beautiful surroundings. Being surrounded by woods and having good light was a great way to disconnect from the world during our Christmas break. Additionally, the internet service was fantastic, allowing us to stay connected and stream our favorite shows during our stay.
There were a few drawbacks to our experience. the driveway was difficult to locate, especially at night, and being on a curve on a mountain road made it even more challenging.

The Rushing Stone Cottage offered a cozy and secluded setting with beautiful woods surrounding it. The location was perfect for outdoor activities like hiking, and the cottage had good light and a great living area. The internet service was reliable, and we enjoyed streaming TV shows during our stay. The accommodation had separate bedrooms, which provided privacy for families with children. We also appreciated the opportunity to teach our grandchildren how to play checkers for the first time.

We had a great experience at Rushing Stone Cottage! The value for the money was fantastic, and the room itself was cozy and comfortable. The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful woods, perfect for a quiet getaway. The staff treated us with warmth and hospitality.
The only small improvement for breakfast items would be to have a wider selection of cookware available in the kitchen.

We affectionately named the cottage our 'hobbit house'. It has the quaint look of the houses used in the movie 'The Hobbit', down in New Zealand. We loved the quietness of the location, perfect for an opportunity to have our grandchildren, whom we were in the area to see, come spend a couple of nights with their grandparents who hadn't seen them in 3 years. There is no phone service, neither cellular or landline, at the cottage, unless you have US Cellular service. You have Internet service, so you can stream TV service, however. The grandchildren learned to play checkers for the first time! They loved it.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The cabin provided a tranquil and secluded setting, perfect for disconnecting from the world. The surrounding woods and good lighting added to the beauty of the location. Additionally, the strong internet service allowed for streaming TV shows.
One downside was the distance from town, requiring a drive of at least 10 miles to Jefferson. Additionally, the lack of cell service was inconvenient, forcing us to rely on the WiFi for communication.
